Recipes and tales of good eats to come . . .
Left over grilled beef, rice, and papaya salad (tum mak hoong). I eat this a lot.
Chile Relleno combo from Ray's here in North Park.
My lunch at Disneyland. Roast beef, some cheesy mash, and boring old steamed veggies.
Jermz's lunch at Disneyland. Jambalaya, same sides as mine.
An absolute favorite!! Banh cuon from K's Sandwhiches in the Clairemont area. I love going there for banh cuon. Sometimes when I'm really famished I'll get the banh cuon, spring rolls, and a #1 (the special sandwhich).
A typical breakfast on Sunday, alongside fruit and freshed squeezed OJ! Ok, maybe not fresh squeezed but definately delicious.
A very healthy meal. My mom and I used to get together to make this a lot. They're just wraps you assemble as you go. I have fried tilapia filets (my mom usually does a whole fish), cilantro, mint, sliced tomato, fresh sprouts, green leaf lettuce, vermicelli noodles, and the dipping sauce is a tamarind and padek (fremented fish sauce) base with lots of garlic, red, and green chilies pounded.
A guilty pleasure. Whenever we feel like filling up on cheap Chinese we go to VIP Oriental Buffet.
